Q.
Which flights are you doing airport transfers for?
A.
Please contact us to find out which flight(s) we can collect you
from for each trip. At present we are working on package deals
including flights which will make this process much easier.
Q.
What happens if I am part way
through a course with you in the UK?
A.
We treat the training trips abroad as a totally seperate thing.
Because our costs are fixed regardless of the number of flyable
days we get while abroad we ask you to take joint responsibility
for the weather - besides, you get a great holiday regardless!
So you pay for the trip and if you finish your course while abroad,
any outstanding credit for days paid for on our UK courses will
be credited.
Q.
What happens if I am part way
through a course elsewhere?
A.
This should not pose a problem so long as you can obtain your
training records from the school you have been training with.
Q.
Do I need my own equipment?
A.
You can hire equipment
from us at £300 per week, so it does make sense to buy your
own equipment before you go. We may be able to negotiate a good
equipment and trip package deal, so please get in touch with us.
Please note that we will not train you on equipment that we deem
unsuitable for your level or ability.
Q.
I would like to stay for an irregular
number of days, can you accomodate this?
A.
Yes! We can usually be
flexible on this but be prepared to pay for your own airport transfers
if the times and dates do not coincide with our pick-ups.
Q.
Do you do group discounts?
A.
We have no specific discount
structure, but if you have a group of 4 or more and are willing
for one person to be the contact for the group, then we will be
able to offer you some discount.
Q.
How reliable is the weather?
A.
We have now done 9 weeks
training in South Cyprus and we have found the weather to be reliably
flyable. By this we dont mean endlessly soarable every day, but
we have lost only a handful of days in the weeks spent there.
For example, in 34 days during 2004, there were only 4 totally
unflyable days!
Q.
What if it is unflyable?
A.
We have a repertoire of
activities and places to visit in reserve for these occasions,
ranging from lounging around the hotel pool to off-road motorbiking!
South Cyprus is rich in historic sites, beautiful countryside,
pleasant beaches, shopping areas and restaurants.
Q.
What if I don't finish my course?
A.
You
can add days to the holiday (sometimes even when you are already
there, we try to be as flexible as possible!) or you can choose
to continue in the UK at our flying centre conveniently located
between the North Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. These
course will be charged at the normal rates, with full credit being
given for the tasks already completed.
Q.
Can I bring my non-flying partner
and/or family?
A.
Yes! We can organise the
hotel room to suit and we can accomodate non-flyers on some of
the flyable days (we always need photographers!). There are usually
other non-flyers in the group and they often share the cost of
a hire car to get around independently.
